Gift Items and Paper Craft

Gift Items

My gift items developed mostly through doing craft stalls and realising that people wanted smaller items, or a gift for someone that was unique or different from what they can find in high street shops.

Making gift items was my original “off-cut” project, I wanted to make beautiful or useful items from the wood which otherwise would have been discarded or burnt. I stock these items in small independently shops, some all year round, others seasonally.

Paper Craft

During the Covid 19 lockdown, I have been unable to use my workshop as much as I would like.

Being a Maker at my core I needed to find an accessible medium to keep my creative soul live, while juggling homeschooling my two kids. I started making paper crafted pictures with my youngest and took it into more detail on my own in the evenings. My original idea of making cards turned into making pictures which in many ways remind me of print making. Though they are different to my woodwork in many ways, they still share my love of detail, use of contrast and colour. My youngest is also making very good use of my off-cuts.
